I was asked today about a list of specific scripture promises that we can claim without taking them out of context for our families. I am a firm believer in praying God's word because when we do so we know that we are praying in alignment with the perfect will of God. Of course, every prayer I breath before the throne on behalf of my loved ones is tempered by the full submission of my will and my intent to the sovereign plan of God. I am grateful for the faithful prayers prayed over me by those who love me and it is my goal to pray for my loved ones daily. I created this list a couple of years ago to guide me in my prayers. There is one for each day of the month. Feel free to print this is you feel that you could use it. I John 5:14-15 states, "And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we ahve the request which we have asked from Him."
This is not a magic formula to get God to do what we want. God is sovereign. He does what He wants. And, He's never wrong. But we are invited to pray. So, for me... I'm getting in line each day for my portion of grace and presenting my requests for those I love. Are you doing you part to shelter your loved ones in the truth? Let's be loving our families through prayer, even when we are far apart. Here is the list.

Lord let our prayers be mighty before your throne. We pray in faith with the trust of a child. Let our love blanket our precious ones with the truth of Your word. And be it unto them according to Your word and Your will.
All very good scriptures to list. This evening I participated in a special message "Letters from God", a great book. I read this sentence "So hope in Me My child, and hope in eternity. For when yo look directly into MY eyes, it will all fall into place! My voice broke up. Then I read John 3:36 the words caught in my throat and I envisioned the people close to me who have not Christ as their Savior. The feeling is still hanging with me. I am currently reading two books: "The Power of the Praying Wife" and "The Power of Praying for Your Adult Children" by Stormie Omartian, both are good books.
